Seat fillers get to attend our shows for FREE, yet they play a vital role during the Avidity Awards television taping. Whenever people don’t show up for the show, or whenever our staff has to pull performers, presenters, and others backstage, they leave their seats empty and seat fillers fill those seats so when the cameras capture shots of the audience, they don’t see any empty seats.

 

Once the talent returns to their seat, the seat filler will get up and be moved to another seat. In some cases, a seat filler may be fortunate enough to not have to move, filling that seat all night. It is more likely though that a seat filler may have to move several times during the event. Either way, our seat fillers often get the best seats in the house and for FREE!
